OVERCOMING FEAR

Riding a Tiny Boat in the Storm

I've been thinking about this for a while now. I don't want to sound snarky or make people upset with what I am about to say, but I woke up this morning with these thoughts racing through my head. I believe it is what we need to focus on right now. So I am going to speak the truth in love.

For the last year and half we have been riding a boat in a storm. The fear caused by an unseen virus is world wide. The news tells us "we are all going to die", and the fear of death grips hundreds of millions of people. So great is this fear that many have allowed their lives to be completely disrupted, put on hold and have surrendered their commonsense. They are trusting those who give the news rather than trusting the God of the Universe. Really? Why?

My tiny boat in this storm has been tossed just like everyone else, but one thing I never gave into was fear. I never wore a mask. I never was tested, and except for the fact that I was barred from grocery shopping, going to church, and put on part-time hours my life didn't change at all. I am not saying this to brag, but to prove a point. If the virus was so very contagious and deadly why did I not get it? I didn't obey the rules. I should be dead. Instead, I am just angry.

I know God is in control - full stop!

He knows the number of my days. He has conquered death. He has said "you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." So many of us are not free. We are held captive by the masks we wear and the fear of the storm. We watch the news and it reports "cases rising". It displays a running total of deaths. Fear mongering is now the news. We put our trust in masks and vaccines without taking a second to think or research what is really going on. There is so much that we have been lied to about during this time.

I have been called a conspiracy theorist for speaking truth. I'm not going to be silenced and I won't live in fear. I have done research or read the research of others. The fear is being manufactured. The storm is actually a spiritual battle being waged in the physical world. The forces of darkness want us to live in fear. Fear separates us from each other and from God. "Stand 6 feet apart." Signs everywhere! "Don't go to church." Church leadership lost this battle when they gave into fear and closed their doors. Satan won in many churches. Christians gave into the fear when they bought face masks and wore them everywhere they went. Now many are allowing an experimental vaccine to be injected into their body, the temple of the LIVING God. Their faith is misplaced. A vaccine cannot save you from eternal separation from God. A mask cannot keep you safe from Satan. This is where the rubber meets the road. This is the battle.

There is a church just outside of Nashville that never shut down. The pastor refused to comply. Instead he stood on the power of Jesus and his congregation exploded in numbers. People need God and the enemy knows this full well. This one church has grown so big that they cannot meet in their building any more. Another church in Florida had the same experience. They were told to shut down and they held services every single day, and have grown so big. These are warrior pastors. Pastors who stood on the edge of their boats in this storm and defied the wind and waves of social media, news media and the unconstitutional governor-ordered mandates.

The early church was persecuted. Men like Paul, Peter, John, and others were arrested for their faith. They didn't fear being arrested or death for that matter. They sang in prison and counted it joy to be in chains for the gospel. Paul went back to Jerusalem even though God told him he would be arrested. That is the type of faith we should be exercising today. The church should be standing in the face of this storm and speaking the truth of God's power. Imagine the revival that could have happened nationwide WORLDWIDE had the church stood on the edge of this storm with the POWER of God at our backs! Churches would be bursting at the seams and millions would have come to know Jesus!

What a tragedy we chose to cower in the boat waiting for a mask or vaccine to save us.

Imagine Jesus sleeping on the boat during that storm. He wasn't worried. He was sleeping. Then he was awakened. He knew the disciples were afraid and He got up and spoke to the wind and the waves. There is a song whose words I hear in my head all the time. "That same power that raised Jesus from the dead LIVES IN US". We sing these words while wearing a mask and watching church on our TVs in the "safety" of our living rooms. Are you kidding me?!!

Imagine Jesus turning to us saying "Oh ye of little faith. Don't you know that the wind and the waves still obey me? Take off the mask. Speak the truth to those around you and set them free from fear. You are my body! Together you are strong!"

Imagine Jesus saying "come to me all you who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives with it's experimental vaccine and false hope. I give true peace. I am the HOPE of the world."

Imagine Jesus saying "do you trust me? I died so that you might live. There is no reason to fear death because I conquered it by raising from the dead. Follow me and be saved."

Imagine Jesus saying "Man made Covid-19....get real. They are only perverting my creation. Remember who the god of perversion is. He holds no power and his end is near."

There is calm in this storm when you Imagine Jesus standing in the way and with just the whisper of his voice calming the waves of false information that try to keep us from each other and from worshiping OUR POWERFUL GOD!

We've had the power over this nonsense all along. There is no greater power than God and we should not fear anyone or anything but God.

1 Corinthians 15:55 "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

1 Chronicles 29:11 "Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all."

1Chronicles 15:25 "For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods."
