The Art of Puddletography

I have this friend in England whose hobby is photography. The photo you see in this blog is one of his. He calls this puddletography. England is a place that rains nearly every day so puddles are plentiful. He finds a puddle and frames his subjects "click" a work of art is born. What is so stunning about these photos is the stillness of the puddles and the clarity of the image in the water. It is a perfect mirror of the objects above and gives the illusion that you could capsize yourself and step into this alternate reality.

On my walk today there were many puddles. Its been raining here in Houston for nearly two weeks straight. Its sloppy and wet outside. Not my favorite weather. I took notice of the many puddles on my walk, and thought of Martin's photos. Alas, none of them were calm enough to get such a perfect reflection of the world above.

I was imagining on my walk Jesus and I stomping in the puddles while it rained on us. I could see Him laughing and enjoying the experience as much as I did. We don't think of Jesus in real life like we should. He is our friend our advocate with the father. He loves us. Part of the reason I started this blog was because He is this real to me and I am hoping that you will see Him like this too. I do think that if He were walking with me we would stomp the puddles together. I can't explain the joy that I have when these thoughts occur. I just know that it is like the photo, the reflection of the savior in my life as clear and perfect a place you would want to be.

Imagine Jesus and you puddle stomping and laughing together. Did you smile? See....Imagining hanging out with the King of Kings can be a pretty cool thing.

John 15:15 "I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you."

Revelation 4:6 "in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal."

If you would like to check out more of Martin's work, please do. Social media has deplatformed him which has caused financial hardship. He sells prints and calendars on his storefront. He is a good man with an amazing talent. https://www.martingeddes.gallery/
